Sony Yuga 5in 1080p smartphone resurfaces

Sony Yuga

Today must be 1080p smartphone day ? not only has the HTC M7 reared its head, the equally high-definition Sony Yuga has also resurfaced in a new leak.

More than just a product leak with the odd poor image or two, the chaps at Mobile Review allegedly have the unannounced Sony device in their hands and have been kind enough to share some of the specs along with an image as proof.

Expect a sizable 5in display with a 1920x1080p resolution (equating to 440ppi - take that, iPhone 5), Sony Bravia display technology to keep the colours in check, 2GB of RAM, a S4 quad core processor, Android Jelly Bean and Adreno 320 graphics for making games look good. Throw in a 12MP camera, HDMI connectivity and you have quite the beast ? assuming that those specs are legit. They match up with previously leaked specs, which is a promising sign.

With CES 2013 looming in January and Mobile World Congress the month after, we doubt there will be much of a wait to see the Sony Yuga in the flesh ? along with the bevy of other 1080p phones set to arrive in 2013.
