It seems like the Occupy Movement may have found a new project in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. Aptly titled?Occupy Sandy, the volunteer group organized by the folks behind the mass protests originating in New York City have taken it upon themselves to help with clean up and relief efforts throughout New York.
While most of their volunteer opportunities involve the donation of time, Occupy Sandy has made it easier to for those unable to join them in the form of a benefit concert featuring Vampire Weekend, Real Estate, Devendra Banhart, The Walkmen, Cass McCombs and The Dirty Projectors. The show will take place on November 17 at St. Ann & The Holy Trinity in Brooklyn Heights and will find the artists performing acoustic.
You can find more information in the flyer above and purchase tickets for a minimum donation of $30.?
