Gaspari Nutrition- MyoFusion | Bodybuilding, Supplements, Diets ...

When it comes to the REAL nutritional needs of bodybuilders and athletes alike, there is little doubt what ?legitimate? science has to say about the different protein sources available in the supplement marketplace. Unfortunately, this has little to do with the marketing message spread by most sellers of protein supplements today. The competition between companies is fierce and the drive to sell more protein by differentiating a product by any means necessary (whether it?s legitimate science or not) is prevalent to say the least. MyoFusion? delivers only the highest and most legitimately bioavailable proteins in existence ? hard and fast.

(AP) ? Myanmar opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi, on her first foreign trip in nearly a quarter-century, offered encouragement Wednesday to impoverished migrants whose flight from their homeland is emblematic of the devastation wrought there by decades of misrule.

"Don't feel down, or weak. History is always changing," she told an exuberant crowd of thousands southwest of Bangkok. Many held signs saying, "We want to go home," and Suu Kyi said her visit was aimed at learning how she could help them.

"Today, I will make you one promise: I will try my best for you," she said.

In the town of Mahachai, home to Thailand's largest population of Burmese migrants, thousands of Myanmar's downtrodden crowded around her and chanted: "Long Live Mother Suu!"

"I had only seen her on TV and in newspapers," said Saw Hla Tun, who left Myanmar's Karen state seven years ago and earns a meager wage carrying heavy salt sacks on his back. "I couldn't hold back my tears when I saw her."

After speaking to the crowd, Suu Kyi met with migrant workers who told her they are mistreated by employers but don't know their rights and have no legal means to settle disputes.

Suu Kyi arrived in Thailand on Tuesday night on a trip that shows just how much life has changed in her homeland. The Nobel Peace Prize winner lived 15 of the last 24 years under house arrest and dared not leave during the intermittent periods of freedom because she feared the then-ruling military junta would not allow her to return. Now an elected member of Parliament, she will speak later this week at the World Economic Forum on East Asia.

She'll return to Myanmar briefly before heading to Europe for a five-country tour in mid-June. Her stops include England, where she'll address the British Parliament, and Oslo, Norway, to formally accept the Nobel she won 21 years ago.

Fixing a battered economy is one of the most crucial challenges facing Myanmar as it begins opening up in the wake of 49 years of military governance that ended only last year.

Thailand hosts around 2.5 million impoverished Burmese who have fled here to work low-skilled jobs as domestic servants or in manual labor industries like fisheries and the garment sector.

Andy Hall, a migrant expert and researcher at the Institute for Population and Social Research at Thailand's Mahidol University, said the Myanmar migrants ? up to a million of them lacking work permits ? make up between 5 and 10 percent of the Thai work force, contributing as much as 7 percent of the nation's GDP.

Many are exploited and paid reduced wages. Some have been trafficked; some have had their passports confiscated by employers. Hall said they were nevertheless "the lifeblood of a lot of the Myanmar economy, sending home money to support families who don't have enough money to eat."

"They have no voice, they can never speak up or stand up," Hall said. "So for Aung San Suu Kyi to visit is like a dream come true, someone who finally may be able to bring attention to their suffering."

One of the migrants, a 26-year-old woman named Khin Than Nu, works at a Thai canning factory and dreams of her home in Myanmar's Mon state.

"We left our parents in Burma, and all my brothers and sisters work here to support our parents," she said. "I hope Daw Suu will help develop our country, and bring jobs so we can go home."

How To Boost Retail Sales With Suggestive ... - Transworld Business

Dave Seehafer. Photo: Steindler

?by Dave Seehafer, Global Wave Ventures

With today?s challenging retail environment, retailers are asking ?what can I do to increase sales?? There are many solutions to this question; however one of the easiest ways that comes to mind is add-on or suggestive selling.

A great example of this is when a customer comes in to your store to buy a specific item?a pair of boardshorts or sandals, a surfboard, a skate deck, etc. Most retailers will focus only on this particular item, before the customer walks out the door. A savvy retailer will however engage the customer the moment he walks through the door, asking key questions to gain insight. Such a retailer continues to educate and ?stimulate? this customer so that he not only buys the boardshorts, but now has also considered a lycra top, some wax and more?thus add-on selling! Simply put, suggestive selling is a non-threatening way in which a retail salesperson works with a customer to find out their needs, level of knowledge or experience and more. While doing so, the salesperson is showing the customer useful or recommended items related to the target purchase.

Today?s specialty retailer needs to be considered the ?expert? of a particular sport or activity, the ?epicenter? for product information, knowledge, insight, trends, and new products. Specialty retail needs to remain ?special.? In establishing your store as the ?go-to? spot for the latest and greatest products, you have the opportunity to develop and evolve each and every person who walks through the door into a lifelong, loyal customer. If someone is in the market for a new surfboard, perhaps they?ve never considered add-ons such as a leash, traction, extra fins or board bag. Each of these items represent the essence of suggestive selling?added sales with just a little extra effort.

Suggestive selling must be supported within the store itself?at the product merchandising and display level. Do your window displays highlight ?packages??items that are used together in some realistic, understandable way? For example, a display could include a surfboard, along with a colorful assortment of fins, leashes, traction, wax, etc. A similar display in the actual surfboard section of the store allows salespeople to refer, comment and discuss related items. Where appropriate, a third display could be at or near the register so that the customer can see all related items to consider for purchase.

A useful tool for this selling technique is to offer specially-priced ?add-on? packages for purchases of key items. If a customer is buying a skate deck, consider offering a special price on trucks, wheels, grip tape and protective pads. The package price should be significantly discounted from the prices if purchased separately. Another idea is to offer this special package for a limited time after the sale. This creates an opportunity to re-connect with the customer, see how their purchase is working out, and then again offer the special package. This type of selling can be done by the salesperson helping the customer, the person ringing up the purchase, and even the person saying ?thank you? to the customer as they leave the store.

Suggestive selling requires some role playing and preparation with your staff. First, ensure that everyone is aware of the various displays in each section of the store. Fins, board bags, and leashes should be close enough for salespeople to show, touch or grab easily while conversing with the customer. Second, a few key questions must be used by the salespeople to better understand the customer?s needs, wants, background, experience level, etc. These questions might include ?how long have you been surfing?, ?where do you normally surf? and ?what type of board are you currently using?? Third, it is essential that the salespeople have adequate product knowledge and insight, allowing them to make recommendations once they process the answers to their questions. A savvy salesperson would be grabbing two or three different types of wetsuits while the customer is trying on their first suit. A focused skater would have two different sets of wheels and bearings that go well with the intended deck purchase. This is a good time to utilize company samples or demos if applicable. It?s also a great time to showcase new brands or items which could excite the customer even more during their buying experience. Finally, the salesperson needs to ensure that he?s got the customer contact information so that he can follow-up after the purchase.

A short role-playing session once a week with your employees can help strengthen them in these important yet subtle steps. With a little practice and some selling time on the floor, they can each share the phrases or terms that create positive sales results.

This type of selling creates a fantastic opportunity for a sales contest between employees, tracking the number of add-on ?packages? sold during a select time period. Identifying the top seller each week and allowing him/her to share their ?success? stories helps motivate and educate the other salespeople. Using ?real world examples? can go a long way to helping salespeople understand this important sales tool. Through the effective use of add-on selling, sales per employee increase while the cost per sale remains nearly the same. This results in an overall increase in profitability for the store.

This add-on sales technique is just one of the ways to effectively and consistently increase sales. Providing product recommendations and using effective sales techniques will create an environment for customers to spend their hard-earned money every time they walk through your door.

Microsoft silverlight development More Details about Microsoft silverlight development here.

Interactive internet is a recent thing; the online world was not as complex as it is today. Most pages were plain text and simply boring while multimedia was still in the nascent stage. But over two decades, the world-wide-web slowly and steadily became more and more advanced and complex. More than 90 percent of the sites now boast of 2D and 3D images today with impeccable audio and video. Animation is ruling the movie world while it has also found space in the corporate market when companies opt for branding in a big way. Web pages are now interactive and interesting and popularly known as rich internet applications (RIAs). Microsoft Silverlight platform can help in RIA development to a great extent. One can create complex and user-friendly websites with the help of Silverlight technology. With the sudden demand in Silverlight applications, many offshore technology providers have broadened their offerings. Silverlight, which was launched four years back, has grown handsomely in the space of 5 releases which has worked wonders in its existing features and presents a fascinating picture of the web. Silverlight is now popular in diverse platforms including mobile, desktop and web. .NET technology is widely used for creating Silverlight applications. XML is used as a markup language and traditional languages have greatly reduced the learning curve too. Silverlight is extremely popular for delivering business applications too since the platform is compatible with nearly all browsers including Internet Explorer, Apple's Safari, Mozilla Firefox and Aurora at the client side network. Silverlight's cross-browser compatibility has earned it praise and high demand. The real data is stored at the server and hence the performance of the application is comparatively higher than other applications. Silverlight also works well with nearly all operating systems and is an ideal cross-platform technology. Expert Silverlight developers are known to create varied applications including web-based apps to huge video games. Most companies even resort to Silverlight for creating audio stream applications. Dynamic code can be saved in separate files which is accessible from anywhere during the development of rich internet applications. Twitter is developed using Silverlight and its architecture has allowed several developers to work on multiple projects simultaneously for quick processing. Silverlight heightens the attraction of applications as well makes them interactive and quick in execution which is really helpful for better sales in some domains. Silverlight 5 which is the latest entrant in the Microsoft family is advanced than Adobe Flash in a variety of its features. One can isolate web development and web design for creating extremely effective web designs. Websites can now handle more and more data while the internet speeds have reached megabytes to per second. The mobile application development market has boosted Silverlight development too and internet accessibility has reached the smartphones at an alarming rate. Silverlight has reached various avenues and every platform which helps users to read news, play online games, or even find specific locations are based on Silverlight. The need of the hour is to opt for more innovative Silverlight applications to promote services in the corporate world, as business apps are becoming famous day by day.

Google Nexus tablet will be quad-core, may include Jelly Bean

A ?trusted source? speaking to TechnoBuffalo has confirmed many of the details for the upcoming Nexus tablet, though we still don?t know if Google?s 7? tablet is actually named ?Nexus?. The source confirms that it will be built by ASUS and will be one of the hardware giveaways for Google I/O on June 27th, ahead of the July ship date.

Some reports have the tablet coming preinstalled with Jellybean, the next major version of Android, but there are conflicting reports on that. The source also confirmed that it will have a quad-core Tegra3 device, not dual-core.

Nvidia wants to bring a tablet to market under $200, so we are hoping this is it. If it was under $200 and it had Jelly Bean, this thing would be a hit for sure.

Matador launches partnership with Adventure Shield travel insurance

Buying travel insurance? Help fund a scholarship that helps kids to travel.

MATADOR?S NEW PARTNERSHIP with Adventure Shield travel insurance means more money for the Matador Youth Scholarship Fund. Adventure Shield is a licensed insurance broker selling Travel Guard products, with three main travel insurance products offering different levels of coverage, as well as a design-your-own option.

For every policy purchased through this Adventure Shield page, 20% of the revenue earned will go to the Matador Youth Scholarship Fund. Every year, the fund helps low-income high school students who have completed the Coro Exploring Leadership Program and who attend urban high schools to travel out of the country. The students are responsible for raising $500 of their own costs.

For many students, it is their first time out of the country, and they write up their reflections on the trip for Matador. Yemen: 35 al-Qaida militants killed in clashes

SANAA, Yemen (AP) ? Yemen's military launched an attack Thursday on an al-Qaida hideout in the country's south as part of a wider offensive, killing 35 militants, the Defense Ministry said.

The attack came four days after al-Qaida claimed responsibility for a suicide bombing on a military parade rehearsal in the capital, Sanaa. The bombing killed 96 Yemeni soldiers. Funerals for 67 of the soldiers were held on Thursday.

The Defense Ministry said that in its attack, the Yemeni military took control of Wadi Banaa Arab, near the town of Jaar, another al-Qaida stronghold.

Since May 12, Yemen's military has been pushing an offensive against al-Qaida, aiming to uproot the militants from territory they overran during more than a year of internal political turmoil in Yemen. Casualties have been high on both sides.

Troops backed by warplanes and artillery, as well as armed tribesmen, battled al-Qaida militants, mainly in Abyan province in the south, aiming at regaining control over the provincial capital, Zinjibar.

Yemen's al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula is considered one of the group's most dangerous branches. The impoverished country was the launching pad for three foiled al-Qaida attacks on U.S. targets.

The United States has thrown its support behind Yemen's new president, Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi, who has vowed to combat al-Qaida as a top priority.

On Thursday, a U.S. Congressional delegation met with Hadi in Sanaa, according to a statement issued by Hadi's office.

Yemen's longtime President Ali Abdullah Saleh stepped down in February as part of a U.S. backed power transfer deal that gave him immunity from prosecution in return for relinquishing power.

Rich-poor divide reopens at UN climate talks

(AP) ? The advances made in U.N. climate talks last year appeared at risk Thursday as a rift between rich and poor countries reopened in negotiations aimed at crafting a global pact to stop the planet from overheating.

The session in Bonn was meant to build on a deal struck in Durban, South Africa, in December, but the talks were faltering heading into the penultimate day amid disputes over what, exactly, was agreed on last year.

Delegates were struggling to reach consensus on the agenda for future talks under the new Durban Platform, with China and others reluctant to close existing negotiating tracks that make clear distinctions between the responsibilities of developed and developing nations.

"There is distrust and there is frustration in the atmosphere," Seyni Nafo, spokesman for a group of African countries, told The Associated Press.

The two-decade-old negotiations have had limited success in creating a global regime to rein in the emissions of heat-trapping gases which a big majority of climate scientists say are warming the Earth, with potentially devastating consequences for poor countries ill-prepared to deal rising sea levels, floods and other effects of a changing climate.

Actions taken and pledged so far fall well short of what the U.N. experts say is needed to achieve the stated goal of preventing global temperatures from rising more than 2 degrees Fahrenheit (1.2 degrees Celsius) above current levels by the end of this century.

The only existing binding treaty, the 1997 Kyoto Protocol, was shunned by the U.S. because it doesn't impose any emissions targets on China, thus leaving out the two biggest carbon emitters on the globe. After Canada, Japan and Russia dropped out, the treaty's second commitment period covers only about 15 percent of global emissions.

After painstaking negotiations in Durban, countries agreed to create a new pact by 2015 that would take effect five years later and include both developed and developing countries.

But the European Union said that package of decisions was at risk of unraveling because of the bickering at the conference in Bonn, which is supposed to lay the groundwork for a bigger climate summit in Qatar, at the end of the year.

"We are very concerned that the spirit of cooperation that prevailed in Durban has not carried over into this session," EU delegate Christian Pilgaard Zinglersen told the conference Wednesday.

The EU claims China and other developing countries are backsliding on commitments made in Durban to conduct future talks on emissions cuts within the new platform.

Developing countries accuse the U.S., EU and other industrialized nations of trying to evade commitments made under previous negotiating tracks and shift responsibilities for tackling climate change to the developing world.

Spain calls for help to lower borrowing rates

PARIS (AP) ? Spain can't continue much longer with its current high borrowing rates, the prime minister warned Wednesday as he urged a joint European response to keep the region's debt problems from getting worse.

Mariano Rajoy and newly elected French President Francois Hollande, heading later in the evening to meet other European Union leaders, also stressed their commitment to keeping Greece in the euro despite its political uncertainty.

"Europe has to come up with an answer. It is a must, because we cannot go on like this for a long time, with large differences when it comes to financing ourselves. And it is because of these differences that the policies that we Europeans believe in, such as controlling government spending and reforms to encourage growth, ultimately have no effect," Rajoy said in Paris alongside Hollande.

"So I am going to talk about liquidity, financing and debt sustainability. For me it is the most important thing today. There are a lot of important things but this is the most urgent one," he said.

Rajoy suggested the European Central Bank resume some of its emergency measures, such as buying the bonds of weak countries, which has the impact of lowering countries' borrowing rates.

Hollande said the ECB's role would be discussed by European leaders, and said he will formally propose so-called eurobonds ? debt issued jointly by eurozone countries ? at Wednesday's summit.

Such bonds would aim at bringing down borrowing rates by distributing the risk of some countries debt. Germany is opposed because it would raise its own borrowing rates and reduce the pressure on heavily indebted governments to heal their finances. Rajoy said he doesn't think the 27 EU leaders meeting in Brussels will resolve the eurobond dispute Wednesday.

Hollande insisted he would stick by his push for a Europe-wide growth pact by the end of June. He won election earlier this month in part on his attacks on austerity measures championed by his conservative predecessor Nicolas Sarkozy and Germany's Angela Merkel. His political plans remain uncertain, however, depending on whether his fellow Socialists take control of parliament in legislative elections next month.

Pressure is rising on European leaders to agree to new growth measures to complement the budget cuts. Both the International Monetary Fund and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development have said the pace of austerity measures should be slowed in some countries to lower the risk of a severe recession.

The OECD, which monitors economic trends in developed economies, openly called for the use of eurobonds and more emergency measures from the European Central Bank to keep the slowdown from dragging down the global economy.

Alongside economic growth, Greece's electoral turmoil and dismal finances will be high on leaders' minds in Brussels. Hollande said he would "do everything to convince the Greeks to stay in the euro."

Rajoy agreed there was no doubt the country should remain in the currency union: "What I want is that Greece stays in the eurozone, that's what's best for Greece and best for Europe."

Borrowing costs are up for the most indebted governments. There is an increasing number of reports of worried savers and investors pulling funds out of banks that are seen as weak. Meanwhile, unemployment is soaring as recession grips nearly half the eurozone countries.

    Wusthof Knife Giveaway | Weelicious ? - Fast, Easy & Fresh ...

One reason I find some people don?t really love cooking has to do with their knife. Chopping, dicing and slicing food is at the heart of most any recipe, and the knife you use can have everything to do with the experience you have making it.

When one of my heroes, the great Jacques Pepin, was asked what kind of knife he prefers to use, his reply was simply, ?a sharp one?. I vividly remember the first time I chopped something with a good, sharp knife ? it truly changed my life in the kitchen. While my mom made some really tasty recipes when I was growing up, her kitchen knives were so dull I don?t think there was ever any danger of my brother or I cutting ourselves, let alone a tomato. I recall watching those Ginsu Knife commercials as a kid, thinking it had to be some sort of TV stunt ? there?s no way a knife can cut straight through a tomato like that! But whether it was a gimmick or not, the truth is that when it comes to cooking, if you use a sharp knife everything becomes so much easier.

Lucky for us, W?sthof ? the mack daddy of cutlery ? is offering THREE weelicious readers the chance to win really some sharp stuff!

Top prize is their Classic 7-inch Extra Wide Cook?s Knife and Kitchen Shears (a mom?s second best friend in the kitchen).

Second prize is W?sthof?s new 6-inch Utility Chopper (I?m obsessed with this new to me knife.)

Third prize is their new S11 Micro Serrated Utility Knife (makes smaller jobs in the kitchen a breeze).

For a chance to win, tell me what you or your child?s favorite lunch recipe is. Winners will be chosen at random and announced here next week. Good luck!
